Can I run a report to see how my employees are performing?
Purpose: To teach you how to utilize the Employee Performance report for understanding how your employees are performing and how to best help them succeed.
Employee Performance
The Employee Performance report will have populated data when there is an active review cycle. Keep in mind that the report only shows information from completed assessments from the manager and the employee.
To access the report, navigate to the Reports tab and select the Standard Reports folder. Under the Performance and Culture section, click Employee Performance.
The report plots your employees on a graph based on their managers' answers to the first two assessment questions: "If [Name] got a job offer elsewhere, I would..." and "How engaged is [Name] at work?"
Here are the specific features of this report:
- Date picker: By default, the report will show employees' most recent assessment information from within the last six months. You can change the time frame from the dropdown menu. The options are Last 3 Months, Last 6 Months, Last 9 Months, Last Year, and Custom Date Range.
-
Filter: You have the option to filter the report by Department, Division, Employment Status, Job Title, Location, Manager, or Review Cycle. If you need to add more than one filter, click on the green plus icon.
- If selecting a review cycle, the checklist will only include completed review cycles. However, the first review cycle created in your account will still show if it is not completed.
- Show only misalignments: A misalignment occurs when a manager's perception of an employee's value and/or engagement does not match the employee's perception of how they are valued by the company. Checking this box will filter the report to show you only the misalignments. You can then view an employee's assessment to see the misalignment. This situation gives the employee and their manager a good opportunity to have a thoughtful discussion about the misalignment.
- Summary: This section shows you a quick overview of all employees included in the report. You can click on an individual employee in the graph or the search icon to search for an employee to see additional assessment details.
- Share: You can share this report with managers so they can quickly see assessment details for their employees. Keep in mind the data visible to them will be limited to their direct/indirect reports and access level settings. Account Owners and Full Admin users can view all employee data in this report except their own data.*
-
Export: In addition to sharing the report, you can also export the report as an Excel or CSV file. The exported file will show the employee's and manager's responses to allquestions, including any custom questions. There are a few things to keep in mind when exporting the report:
- If you have filters set at the time of exporting the report, the exported file will only contain employees included in those filters.
- If you are exporting performance data for a specific review cycle, keep in mind the employee data (i.e., salary) will always be current and will not be from the time of the review cycle.
*Regardless of whether you are the Account Owner or a Full Admin user, feedback submitted regarding you from managers is always kept private.
Example: Charlotte is a Full Admin user, and she reports to Jennifer. Jennifer completed the manager assessment for Charlotte, and Charlotte completed her self-assessment. Charlotte can view the results of both assessments, but she cannot view Jennifer's answers to the first two questions ("If Charlotte got a job offer elsewhere, I would..." and "How engaged is Charlotte at work?"). The report is based on those two questions. Therefore, if Charlotte views the Employee Performance report, she will not be able to view feedback regarding herself.
Once finding a misalignment, you can go directly to the employee's assessment on their employee profile to see further details. The employee's assessment will indicate where the misalignment exists, and a notification will appear at the top of the assessment to show you that the employee and manager are not on the same page.
Listed below are some examples of misalignments.

Individual employee assessment details
Clicking on an employee allows you to see their assessment details, including their engagement and value contribution. Below that, you will find a trendline that shows you the employee's engagement and value contribution over time from previous assessments. If you continue to scroll down the employee summary, you will find the employee's current salary, job title, and tenure with your company.
If more than one employee falls in the same spot, the circle will show a number indicating the number of employees. You can then select an employee you would like to view this information for in the sidebar.
