Access Level Settings for Dashboards

Purpose: To help you understand how to configure your users' access to our analytics feature, consisting of customizable dashboards and visualizations.

Depending on your company, HR admins may either create and edit dashboards for their reporting needs or work with a dedicated data analyst. Only Account Owners and Full Admin users automatically have access to dashboards. However, you can grant dashboard access to users (e.g., data analyst) in a custom access level.

When creating or editing a custom access level, the option to enable dashboard access is within the Reports section under "What Can People with this Access Level Do?"

The dropdown menu next to "Dashboard Access" provides you with more options to specify the type of dashboard access users should have.

  1. No Access: Default setting; editable
  2. View Only: Can only view dashboards built by admins
  3. View & Create: Can view and create dashboards built from predefined topics

Please note that the user will only be allowed to view data pertaining to the employees they have access to view, in addition to any other fields for those employees.

If you select View Only or View & Create, you will have two options to select from: All Data or Specific Data. This will determine how much access users in the custom access level should have to the dashboards.

Clicking Specific Data will bring up a checklist of prebuilt dashboards will appear, and you can then determine which dashboards the user should have access to.
