Can I run a report to see how my employees are performing as a whole?

Purpose: To teach you how to utilize the Company Performance report in telling the story of how employee performance is going within your organization and how you can improve employee performance over time.

Company Performance

The Company Performance report is a quick and easy way for HR and executives to analyze performance data in aggregate for the entire company, including its departments, managers, and locations. This report provides the big picture and actionable insight into how performance results compare across various departments, which teams feel most valued, and how performance improved over time. Utilizing the information in this report will help you see which areas need changes to improve overall performance for your employees.

Access settings: The Company Performance report is automatically available to the Account Owner and Full Admin users. They can share the report with any custom access level or manager access level user.

Unlike the other Performance Management reports, this report is an aggregate without references to individuals, so anyone with access can view these statistics for the entire company (as opposed to limiting view to direct reports, indirect reports, etc.).

To access the report, navigate to the Reports tab and click Standard Reports. Scroll down to the Performance and Culture section and select Company Performance.

Here are the features of this report:

  1. Date picker: By default, the report shows data from the last six months. You can change the time frame from the dropdown menu. The options are Last 3 Months, Last 6 Months, Last 9 Months, Last Year, and Custom Date Range.
  2. Employee filter: You have the option to filter the report by Department, Division, Employment Status, Job Title, Location, Manager, or Review Cycle. If you need to add more than one filter, click on the green plus icon. After selecting the filters, click Apply to run the report.
  3. Assessment questions: This section displays four assessment questions—two from the self assessment and two from the manager assessment. You can click on a question to view the data gathered from answers to that question.
    • Feels Valued: How well does the company recognize my value?
    • Best Work: What would have the greatest impact on my ability to do my best work more often?
    • Engagement: How engaged are employees at work?
    • Contribution Value: If an employee got a job offer elsewhere, I would...
  4. Total responses: The middle of the pie chart shows you how many responses there are for each question. Next to the pie chart is a percentage breakdown for each answer, separated into different colors. In the example above, twelve employees answered the question "How well does the company recognize my value?" and 50% of them chose the answer "I feel I am highly valued."
  5. Sort data: You can break down the data by the following fields: Department, Manager, Location, Job Title, Employment Status, or Division. In the example above, I have chosen the Department field. Once you select a field, you can hover your cursor over a color bar to see the percentage of employees who answered the question with the correlating answer.
  6. Export: If you want to download and export the report, click on the download icon, and a modal will ask you to determine the paper size and page orientation for the PDF file.
  7. Share: If you need to share the report with any custom access level or manager access level users, click on the person icon and add people in the text box. This modal also includes a list of people who already have the report shared with them. Once you share the report with a user, they can see all of the information in the report.
