Export-o-matic
What is the Export-o-matic?
Purpose: To teach you how to easily adjust the export field name values for a specific report. This tool is helpful if you need to export a report from BambooHR and import that report into another program that must have specific field name values.

Select a report
Open the report you would like to update and click on the edit icon.
After clicking the small gear icon to the right of each field, the options for changing column settings will appear (Advantage package only).
If you have the Core or Pro package, you will use the custom report builder to make changes.
- Enter the field title you would like to show for this column in the report and upon export.
- Enter a maximum field value length if desired.
- If the field you are modifying is a drop-down field, you can change the list value titles.
After you have entered your changes, click Done. Continue to finalize the report settings and select Save when done.
Notice that the field name is showing as "Current Status" rather than the default name of "Employment Status." Also, the list values have adjusted to your setup in the previous step. For example, Full Time is now showing as FT. These settings will hold true for this specific report in each run and export.
