To enable LinkedIn premium job ads as the Account Owner, navigate to Settings > Apps. Locate the LinkedIn app and click Install.

Modal titled LinkedIn Settings with a large blue LinkedIn logo at the top. Headline reads “Fast-Track Your Hiring with LinkedIn’s Promoted Jobs.” Below, the Connect Your LinkedIn Company Profile section includes a single text field labeled Company name (e.g., ‘BambooHR’) and a link Set one up. A Terms of Service line links to LinkedIn Terms of Service. Bottom-right shows two buttons: Cancel and a green Install button; a close × appears in the top-right of the modal. This image indicates where to enter the company name and click Install to enable the integration.

Ensure you have already created your account in LinkedIn, and enter or search your company profile name in the text box within the LinkedIn Settings modal. Review the LinkedIn Terms of Service, and then click Install.

Post a premium job ad on LinkedIn

Screenshot of a Create Job Opening page for the role “Senior Product Designer.” The Job Boards step is selected. In the LinkedIn Promoted section, a dropdown menu labeled Budget (Monthly) is expanded, showing options: $299, $399, and $599. Other job boards like Indeed & Glassdoor and ZipRecruiter are listed below with “Free” labels.

To post one of your job openings as a premium job ad on LinkedIn, create or edit a job opening and navigate to the Job Boards step. If you have not yet installed the LinkedIn app, you will see the option to click Connect with LinkedIn to install the app. If you have already downloaded the app, simply toggle on LinkedIn Promoted, and select the monthly budget you would like to allot for this job opening.

You can use the Audit Trail report to track information regarding your premium posting. There, BambooHR will keep track of when a posting goes live, who posted the job opening, the name of the job, and the max cap amount. When a posting is moved out of the Open status, you will also see who closed the LinkedIn posting, the name of the job, and the date and time it was closed.

Pricing

Monthly Tier Daily Budget Max Daily Spend (120%)
$299 ~ $10 $12
$399 ~ 13.30 $15.96
$599 ~ 20 $24

When posting a premium job ad on LinkedIn, you will select your monthly (30-day) budget tier, and BambooHR will automatically manage daily spending for best results. On high-traffic days, we can spend up to 120% of the daily budget, balanced out by lower spend on a slower day.

What are you charged for?

  • You only pay when a candidate clicks to view your job on LinkedIn.

What are you not charged for?

  • Views by LinkedIn employees
  • Views by the job poster
  • Multiple views from the same person on the same day
  • Views from outside the target country

You can keep an eye on clicks, timeline, and amount spent on the Job Boards tab (see below).

Job Boards tab

In the LinkedIn Promoted section, four metrics are displayed inside orange outlines: (1) 37 Total Views, (2) 12 Applicants, (3) 28 Days Active, and (4) $189 Total Spend. Below, the Indeed & Glassdoor section shows 91 Total Views, 35 Applicants, and 28 Days Active, marked as “free.”

Within the job opening, there is a tab called "Job Boards." On this tab, you will see the following information for this job posting:

  1. Total views
  2. Number of candidates who have applied
  3. How many days it has been active (and how many days are left of the 30-day period)
  4. How much you have spent of your monthly cap (and how much is left)

When your job posting is closed (either manually or after 30 days), BambooHR captures the amount spent for the premium posting. In your next invoice, you will see a line with the following information: Job Name, Start Date of Posting, End Date of Posting, and Total Amount Spent.

Screenshot of the Invoice History page in BambooHR. A table lists invoices with billing dates (e.g., May 1, April 1, Mar 1, Feb 1) and amounts (e.g., $1,234.56). The Export dropdown is expanded, showing options: Invoice (PDF), Active Employees (CSV), and LinkedIn Promoted Jobs (CSV).

You can also see these details through your invoice history. You can download a detailed CSV file of your LinkedIn promoted jobs through your invoice history by clicking on the three-dot menu and selecting LinkedIn Promoted Jobs (CSV). The CSV will provide the following information: invoice date, the job opening, who posted it, the monthly cap, posting start and end date, amount of views on LinkedIn, number of applicants, and the total amount spent.
