Employee Self-Onboarding Email Notifications
What are the email notifications for employee self-onboarding?
Purpose: To show you what email notifications automatically send out for employee Self-Onboarding.
Email notifications from BambooHR come from [email protected].
(Employee) Getting Started Welcome invitation
When the New Hire Packet sends to a new employee, they will immediately receive this welcome email.
Please note that the wording in the automatic email notifications for the New Hire Packet is not customizable.
(Employee) Complete Onboarding reminder
A reminder email to fill out the packet (if not completed) automatically sends to the new employee at the following time intervals as applicable:
- Two weeks before their hire date
- A week before their hire date
- Three days before their hire date
(Administrator) Review Get to Know You Questions
When a new employee completes the New Hire Packet, an email will immediately send to the administrator who sent the packet to the new employee. This email provides a link to hide* the employee's answers to the questions in the Welcome New Hire email below if desired.
*Please note you will only have an option to hide the answers if it is before the employee's hire date and sending the Get to Know You email (see below).
(Company) Welcome New Hire
This email sends out to all active employees in your BambooHR account (or a filtered list based on the packet settings) on the employee's hire date. If the employee doesn't complete the questions, or there are no questions, but the box is checked to send the email, an email will still send to welcome the new employee to your company as long as the packet is complete before the hire date.
If the employee completes the questions after their hire date, this email will not send.
(Company) Get to Know You Email Summary
If you have five or more Welcome New Hire emails expected to go out on one day, your employees will instead receive a Get to Know You Summary email with each new hire included.
Clicking Meet the Group will take you to a page where you can see all the new hires, and click Learn About [name] to read their answers to the Get to Know You questions.
