If you use BambooHR Payroll, you can also add Direct Deposit, Federal and State Tax Withholding fields to the New Hire Packet for the new employee to fill out before their first day.
To begin adding fields to the New Hire Packet, click the Customize Add Employee Form button in the New Employee form. Add additional fields here by clicking on a tab and its desired fields. Then, click Save. The selected fields will add to the Add Employee form for you to fill out or for the employee to fill out through the New Hire Packet which you will set up next.
When you check the Send this new employee a new hire packet box, the standard fields already included in the new hire packet as mentioned above will disappear indicating that the new employee will fill these out. For the fields that do not disappear, you will need to create the new hire packet first by clicking Save & Create New Hire Packet. Clicking this button will allow you to customize the fields on the next page (see below) and moving forward the system will recognize which additional fields were added to the new hire packet from the Add New Employee Form.

Customize New Hire Packet fields
Once you have added the new employee and are viewing the New Hire Packet, click Customize New Hire Packet Fields in the top right corner.
Add the additional fields to the form, and you will be all set!
Note: If you use Payroll, specific personal information and payroll-related fields will be required, and you cannot remove them from the New Hire Packet.
Do you know that new employees can upload their files in the New Hire Packet? All you need to do is enable employee uploads and then set up the onboarding task to allow a new employee to attach files. Your new employees will then see Attach Files when completing the onboarding task. Any attached files will automatically upload to the employee's Employee Uploads folder on their Documents tab.
