BambooHR Artificial Intelligence (AI) Features
Purpose: To help you understand our BambooHR AI and how we have incorporated AI into some of our features in BambooHR.

Language models used at BambooHR
BambooHR uses technology provided by our third-party subcontractors, OpenAI and Cohere, to provide certain features and functionality of BambooHR AI. Using BambooHR AI is completely optional.
Current BambooHR AI features
Ask BambooHR®
Ask BambooHR is an AI-powered chat feature that empowers your employees to find quick answers to their questions regarding company policies and HRIS information in BambooHR. This feature also saves HR admins valuable time in their daily work, freeing them to focus on more strategic and people-centric tasks.
By using a conversational interface, employees can input questions about their PTO balance, benefits, company policies, HRIS data, etc., and Ask BambooHR will provide quick answers based on the data contained within policy documents and HRIS information in BambooHR.
eNPS topic summary
Currently, we have BambooHR AI enabled in two aspects of the Employee Satisfaction (eNPS) report for all customers using BambooHR® Employee Satisfaction.
Once an eNPS period closes, you can use the Employee Satisfaction (eNPS) report to analyze your company's calculated eNPS score. Included in the report is a topic summary that uses AI to group survey comments into three categories: Likes, Dislikes, and Employee Suggestions. You can find the eNPS topic summary by navigating to the Overview tab and scrolling down to the bottom of the report. Our AI will further sort comments into topics, along with a bar chart showing the number of comments for each topic.
To view comments regarding a specific topic, admins can click on the topic name or its corresponding bar. This AI feature helps admins better understand employee feedback and facilitate more informed decision-making.
eNPS AI tagging
Please note that our eNPS AI tagging feature is only available to Pro customers using BambooHR® Employee Satisfaction.
On the Survey Responses tab of the eNPS report, a list of all comments will show with tags automatically added by our natural language processing system (NLP), which is a subset of AI. It processes each comment and adds relevant tags while predicting the type of tag (green = positive, orange = neutral, and red = negative) based on the comment's context.
