What tabs are available on the employee profile?

Purpose: To show you the tabs available on each employee's profile and how to reorder the tabs and fields, if desired.


The employee profile

The following employee information tabs organize employee data:  

  • Personal: Stores identification data for each employee such as their employee number, name, address, phone number, etc.
  • Job: Tracks data related to the employee's job (i.e., employment status, job information, and compensation).
  • Time OffThe one-stop location for managing time off information for your employee.
  • TimesheetShows the employee's time worked during the current pay period. (Add-on feature.)
  • DocumentsStores employee-specific documentation.
  • BenefitsTracks the details about company benefit enrollment and eligibility and dependent information.
  • Pay InfoShows only to employees in the US specifically added to BambooHR Payroll. Employees can see detailed paystub information here. (Add-on feature.)
  • PerformanceKeeps track of employee goals, assessments, and peer feedback.
  • EmergencyStores emergency contact information relevant to each employee.
  • Notes: Tracks various administrative notes regarding the employee.
  • TrainingAt-a-glance information about training requirements and details of completion.
  • Onboarding/OffboardingKeeps track of tasks that need completion when someone gets hired or leaves your employment.

You can find additional tabs not shown above in the More menu at the end of all tabs (based on package selection).

BambooHR provides a set of standard tabs. To receive additional custom tabs, contact Customer Service.


Can I reorder tabs?

You can reorder the tabs by clicking More and selecting Customize Tabs

Click and drag tabs to put them in your preferred order. Select OK when you are done.

Can I reorder fields?

When viewing an employee's profile, click Add and Edit Fields in a tab's upper right-hand corner.

The option to edit fields is not available for all tabs.

  1. Click and drag fields to reorder them within their section.
  2. Click and drag sections of fields to move them to the desired location on the tab.

Once the fields are in the correct order, click OK.
