Where can I see what BambooHR package I am using?

Purpose: To show you where you can find the basic information for your BambooHR account, including the package, employee count, data storage, and job openings.


By default, only the Account Owner and Full Admin users can access the Account Info tab within the Account section of Settings.

Account information

Click Account in Settings, and note that the Account Info page is the default page. 

  1. Your account basics: Here you will see your company name, account number, and BambooHR URL.
  2. Account Owner: If you are the current Account Owner, you will see the option to change the Account Owner in your account. Otherwise, you will only be able to see who is the current Account Owner.
  3. Current Package: This displays the BambooHR package that you are currently using, and your active employee number. Clicking on the current package will pull up a package info modal.
  4. Add-Ons: The top section shows you which add-ons you are *currently using in your account and how many employees are included in that feature. If you are not currently using an add-on, you will see them listed below in the Available Upgrades section. Here, you can click Learn more, and you will see a pop-up box with an option to request a demo. If you have an upgrade for your subscription available, you will see that here as well.
  5. Job Postings and File Storage:
    • Open Job Postings: This displays the number of active job postings and how many job openings you have available, based on your current package. You can add or cancel additional job openings through Manage Subscription. See below for more information.
    • File Storage: This section shows you your current data storage usage and what you have remaining. When you have 5 GB (or 1 GB if you have previously purchased additional storage) or less remaining, you will see the option to manage your storage in Manage Subscription. See below for more information.
  6. Data
    • Data Processing Agreement (DPA): This will show if you have accepted our DPA. If you have dismissed the DPA, you will see a link to review the DPA again if you need to accept the terms due to new circumstances.
    • Data Center Location: This shows the hosting location of your data.
  7. Manage Subscription: Here you will be able to cancel your account or any add-ons, upgrade or downgrade your account (depending on which package you have), and manage your job postings and file storage. See below for more information on this page.

* If you request a demo or have the time tracking trial, it will move the related feature up to the current add-on section with information on who requested the demo and when (demo), or when your trial ends (time tracking trial).


Manage Subscription

When you click Manage Subscription on the main Account Info page, you will be taken to the Manage Subscription page. Here you can do the following:

  1. Initiate the cancellation of your account. You can find more information about this process in this guide.
  2. Upgrade or downgrade your package, depending on your current subscription.
    • Downgrade: This will pull up a modal providing a plan comparison resource and the email and phone number to contact if you would like to continue.
    • Upgrade to [Package Name]: This will pull up a modal allowing you to see a quick video demo and schedule a personalized demo. You will also be able to upgrade using our self-serve option if you meet certain criteria. See here for more information.
  3. If you currently have the add-on in your account, you will see the three-dot menu with the option to remove it from your subscription. You can find more information on that process here. If you have a Time Tracking trial, you can either cancel your trial or click Subscribe. Clicking Subscribe will pull up a modal where you can request billing information. Once you have initiated that, our billing team will reach out shortly.
  4. Similar to the previous page, you will see a list of add-ons you do not currently have in your account that you can add. Click Learn More to request a demo.
  5. Manage your job postings and file storage. See below for the details on each of these processes.
Manage job openings
Account Info

Click Manage next to Job Postings to access the modal that allows you to add or cancel job openings.

Add job openings

Account Info

At the top of the modal, you can view how many total job openings you have in your account and how many you are not using. You choose if you would like to add 10, 20, or 30 job openings at $30 per every 10 job openings. The monthly amount you will be paying for job openings will appear in your account color at the bottom.

Once you click Add [#] Job Openings and confirm that you would like to add them, you will be able to use those job openings immediately. If you want to add more than 30 job openings in a two-week period. you will need to reach out to [email protected].

If you have a pending cancellation for job openings, you will need to wait until that process is complete in order to add job openings.

Only Account Owners will be able to add job openings. If a Full Admin user or billing contact opens the modal and views the Add Job Openings section, they will be directed to have the Account Owner add the job openings.

Cancel job openings

Account Info

Although only the Account Owner can add job openings, Full Admin users and billing contacts (along with the Account Owner) can cancel job openings.* Choose Cancel Job Openings, select the desired cancellation date, and determine if you would like to cancel 10, 20, or 30 openings.

Once you have selected your desired cancellation date and number of job openings to cancel, you will see a confirmation modal. This will give you a summary of when the cancellation will take place and how many job openings you will then have.

*Please note that you cannot cancel more job openings than those not being used.

Manage file storage

If your account has 5 GB (or 1 GB if you have previously purchased additional storage) or less of storage space remaining, you will be able to use the Manage option next to "File Storage." Clicking Manage will pull up a modal, where you can confirm that you would like to request more storage. Our Expansion team will then get a notification and reach out to you to process your request.
