Active vs. Inactive Status
What is the Status field used for?
Purpose: To help you understand what the Status field is and how to effectively use it.

The Status field on the Personal tab defines whether an employee is an active employee with your company, or inactive, which means that they are no longer employed.
Inactive employees:
- Are not available in the power edit tool (Advantage, Core, and Pro packages).
- Cannot access the system.
- Cannot accrue time off.
- Do not appear in the employee list fields.
- Can get pulled into reports if the filter within the report sets to All or Inactive.
When an employee leaves your company, it is important to terminate them in BambooHR and have the termination adequately reflected in reporting.
