Using the Time Kiosk
Yes. You can use the app in either orientation.
No. Event data and photos cannot be exported from the app.
However, all time entries sync automatically to each employees timesheet, which can be viewed through standard Time Tracking reports (for example, the Timesheet Entries Report).
Notes:
- Photos never sync to the web version of BambooHR.
- Time Tracking reports do not specify where a time entry was logged (e.g., mobile, web, kiosk, time clock).
Yes. BambooHR web, mobile, Time Kiosk, and Time Clock devices synchronize, allowing seamless clock-in and clock-out across platforms.
Clocking in and out via the web and mobile app can be turned off via Time Tracking Settings. If your location has a BambooHR Time Clock and a Time Kiosk set up, your employees will be able to clock in and out on the kiosk automatically. They will be able to clock in and out on the time clock if an admin has added them to the time clock.
Yes. However, all employees with Time Tracking access will appear on the kiosk. Automatic filtering by location or group is not currently supported.
Yes. If an employee has been added to the Time Clock and has the Time Clock enabled in Time Tracking settings, they can clock in and out from either device.
Time Kiosk Troubleshooting
Ensure that both the BambooHR Time Kiosk app and iPadOS are up to date. If the issue persists after updating, contact BambooHR Support.
The app syncs automatically whenever a time clock event occurs and also refreshes during manual syncs or app restarts.
No. All employees with Time Tracking enabled will display in the kiosk app. This is currently a design limitation.
