What can I expect during the QuickStart process?
Welcome to BambooHR! We are excited to help you start getting the most out of BambooHR right off the bat. QuickStart is a three-week process that introduces the basics of BambooHR and leaves you in control of setup and data entry. How is this done? Through accessing the on-demand videos within your email account and/or BambooHR Home.
QuickStart is meant to be a one-time setup that takes one to four hours to complete for companies with 20 employees or less.
QuickStart is an onboarding process specifically designed for our smaller customers to get them up and running in their BambooHR account quickly and easily. It includes bite-sized, step-by-step training videos we designed to allow you to move at your own pace. During this time, we invite you to add your employees to the system, grant them access, and set up the features in your account. The Welcome email initially sent to you includes all of the instructions and resources.

How do I access QuickStart materials?
You can access QuickStart through your BambooHR account. To do this, navigate to Home and click Launch QuickStart Program. This will take you to the homepage for QuickStart, which contains everything you need.
To get started, click Learn About QuickStart. This will walk you through the information available on this page.
As you go through each step, the system will automatically mark the step as complete in the left sidebar. Simply click Next: [Step Name] to continue through the process of setting up your account.
Any BambooHR user who is a Full Admin user or an Account Owner can access QuickStart while it is still available during the three-week time period.
If you need someone to be in charge of QuickStart but is unable to access it currently, you need to complete the following steps:
- Add them as an employee if they are not already in the system.
- Grant them Full Admin access.
- Once they log in to their account, they will be able to view the QuickStart widget from Home.
Yes! You will have access to the QuickStart materials after the deadline. You can access them through the Help Center, or you can click on the following link: QuickStart Learning Pathway.
No, we are not able to remove it before the QuickStart deadline. We leave it up to encourage you to continue the account setup.
During the QuickStart experience, there will be in-product guides and learning courses that will give you dedicated time to practice what you have just learned with specific features in BambooHR. This method allows you to set up features in your account as you go and better prepare you for success in BambooHR.
Employee information is stored in many places: spreadsheets, paper files, other databases, etc. Usually, a great place to start is your payroll system.
After you have completed all required steps in QuickStart, and we mark it as complete on our end, any Full Admin user (or the Account Owner) who clicked on the QuickStart widget will see a link to complete a feedback survey. Once you respond (or if no one responds in 60 days), the QuickStart widget will disappear from your account.
Click Take QuickStart Feedback Survey to access the survey. This survey will help us understand what is working well for our QuickStart customers and what we can improve!
