Purpose: Master your BambooHR subscription by learning how to upgrade packages, add essential HR services like Payroll and Benefits Administration, and effectively manage your account to meet evolving business needs.
Upgrading Your Account
These guides outline various professional services offered by BambooHR, designed to enhance your experience and manage human resources data effectively.
Account Cloning: BambooHR can duplicate your accounts for different locations or companies. This guide includes the process, timeline, and considerations for maintaining data integrity. This service is beneficial for clients managing multiple locations or companies who need identically duplicated accounts without reconfiguring settings.
Employee Profile Removal Services: This service is designed for employers who need to delete large quantities of employee profiles in bulk. While individual deletions can be handled by an Account Owner, this service provides assistance for mass removals, granting you peace of mind that the right data is being deleted.
Export Services: BambooHR can export information that our custom reports do not capture. This guide describes our four data export packages available for purchase: Applicant Tracking (ATS), Company Files, Employee Documents, and Performance Management.
HR Consulting Services: HR Consulting Services are designed to help organizations overcome common HR challenges and leverage HR as a strategic driver for growth. We provide tailored support, including personalized coaching, administrative assistance, and custom content creation, to help you optimize your BambooHR system and align HR practices with your business objectives. We aim to aid you in achieving strategic clarity, maximizing BambooHR adoption, and boosting overall efficiency, ultimately enhancing employee engagement and productivity.
Importing Services: During the initial implementation of BambooHR, your project manager will handle the data import for you. After implementation, you receive instructions on how to import data yourself using a self-service tool. If you find this process daunting, BambooHR offers importing services to ensure accurate data uploads. This service is designed to help you populate your account with various types of data, including comprehensive employee information such as personal details, time off, and benefits data. To utilize this service, you will complete the provided templates for review and uploading by a project associate.
Training Services: Do you want to become a BambooHR expert? Our training services aim to bridge knowledge gaps through various virtual sessions, including feature setup training for configuring aspects like access levels and benefits, feature education focusing on daily usage of tools, and Q&A sessions for addressing your specific questions.
BambooHR offers three main plans designed to meet different organizational needs:

Core Plan: This fundamental package provides essential HR features including:
- Secure management of employee records
- Custom report building

Pro Plan: This plan builds on the Core package with added capabilities to enhance team engagement and performance management:
- Secure management of employee records

- Time off and benefits tracking with custom policies
- Employee experience tools like eNPS and wellbeing surveys
- Access to BambooHR Marketplace integrations
- Performance management (360º reviews, 1:1 meetings, instant reporting)
- Employee Community for company-wide communication and culture-building

Elite Plan: This plan includes all Core and Pro features, plus advanced tools focused on compensation and analytics:
- Secure management of employee records
- Custom report building
- Hiring and onboarding tools (candidate records, job postings to major job boards, email templates)
- Time off and benefits tracking with custom policies
- Employee experience tools like eNPS and wellbeing surveys
- Access to BambooHR Marketplace integrations
- Performance management (360º reviews, 1:1 meetings, instant reporting)
- Employee Community for company-wide communication and culture-building
- Compensation Management (salary planning, benchmarking, pay bands, pay range visualization)
- Advanced Reporting & Insights (custom dashboards, data visualization, curated insights)
- HR Benchmarks for comparing metrics such as turnover and eNPS with similar companies
- Premium support services including consulting and dedicated onboarding

In certain situations, an Account Owner can use our self-service upgrade option. Other situations may require you to request a personalized demo with our Expansion team.

Only Account Owners will be able to add job openings. If a Full Admin user or billing contact opens the modal and views the Add Job Openings section, they will be directed to have the Account Owner add the job openings.
To purchase additional job openings in BambooHR, you need to be aware that:
- The number of active job openings you can have is limited by your BambooHR package. For example, the Core package allows up to 5 job openings and the Pro package allows up to 25.
- If you need more active job openings than your package includes, you can purchase additional job openings in increments of 10 for a fee of $30 per month per increment.
An Account Owner can purchase additional job openings right from their BambooHR account. To do this, navigate to Settings > Account > Account Info > Manage Subscription.
Under My Add-Ons, find Job Postings and click Manage.
At the top of the pop-up, you'll see your total job openings and how many are currently unused.
You can purchase additional job openings in bundles of 10, 20, or 30. Each bundle of 10 costs $30. The total monthly cost for your job openings will be displayed at the bottom of the pop-up.
Once you click "Add Job Openings", the new openings will be immediately available for you to use.
Adding Benefits Administration from the Manage Subscription page
To learn more or add Benefits Administration to your account, navigate to Settings > Account > Account Info > Manage Subscription. On the Manage Subscription page, click Learn More next to Benefits Administration under the Available Add-Ons section.

To learn more or add Benefits Administration to your account, navigate to Settings > Benefits. Click on the Plan Years, Windows, Elections, Carriers, or Carrier PDFs tabs and click Get My Benefits Administration Demo.

Adding Time Tracking from the Manage Subscription page
To ensure Time Tracking is a good fit for you, we recommend using our free two-week trial. To begin the trial, navigate to Settings > Account > Account Info > Manage Subscription. From the Manage Subscription page, find the Available Add-Ons section and click Learn More next to Time Tracking.
Adding Time Tracking from Time Tracking Settings
We recommend using our free two-week trial before officially adding Time Tracking to your account. After your trial is complete, you will automatically be enrolled in Time Tracking.
Adding Payroll from the Manage Subscription page
To learn more about BambooHR Payroll, navigate to Settings > Account > Account Info > Manage Subscription. Under Available Add-Ons, click Learn More.

Canceling BambooHR payroll
Before initiating the cancellation process, please read this help guide to understand the resources and information necessary before we part ways!
An Account Owner, Full Admin users, or a billing contact can cancel your BambooHR Payroll add-on. To do this, navigate to Settings > Payroll > Company Information. Then, click the action menu and select Cancel Payroll.

Remove or adjust job openings
