What is the My Team widget?

Purpose: To teach what managers can see about their direct reports in the My Team widget.

My Team

As a manager, it can be difficult to keep up with all the important dates and numbers pertaining to your team. We know you care about the people who report to you, so we have made it easy for you to see this information as soon as you log in to your BambooHR account. This widget will show the My Team page, which includes the profile picture and preferred names of every employee who reports to you. The following includes important information you will be able to see on this page:

  1. If your employee has Time Tracking enabled, you will be able to see if they are clocked in, and for how long. A green clock icon will appear under their name if they are clocked in. If you hover over the clock you will see the time they clocked in, and how long they've been clocked in. If they are clocked out, their name and picture will be grayed out.
  2. If your employee's birthday is on the day you are viewing this widget or at any time in the next 30 days, you will see a birthday cake icon and their birthdate. If there is more than one alert for an employee, you can hover over the number of alerts to see what they are.
  3. If your employee has approved time off the day you are viewing this widget, their name and picture will be grayed our. If they have approved time off any time in the next 30 days, you will see the icon of the time off category and the day(s) when the employee will be out.
  4. If your employee's work anniversary is on the day you are viewing this widget or at any time in the next 30 days, you will see a calendar with a star icon and their anniversary date.

Headcount

The Headcount tab will show a year's worth of your team's headcount data. Here are the details of what you will see:

  1. The current number of employees on your team, and the net change in the last 12 months, will show at the top.
  2. Hovering over a specific month will show the total number of employees on the last day of that month, the number of additions and terminations, and the net change for that month.
  3. The total number of additions and terminations over the past year show below the individual months.
  4. The Headcount report and the Additions and Terminations report are hyperlinked at the bottom . This will take you directly to those reports where you can dive deeper into the relevant data.

Turnover

The Turnover tab will show you a year's worth of your team's turnover data. Here are the details of what you will see:

1. A bar graph for each month broken into Unspecified, Voluntary, and Involuntary leave. The percentage is the total turnover rate for the month (the total number of terminations during the month divided by the average number of employees).

2. When you hover over one of the months, you will see the total percentage broken down by Unspecified, Voluntary, and Involuntary leave.

3. The Turnover report is hyperlinked at the bottom. This will take you directly to that report where you can dive deeper into the relevant data.
