Tax Updates - IN, OH (10/9/2019)

Indiana

  • The Clay County tax has increased to 2.35% (from 2.25%) for residents and nonresidents, effective 1 October 2019.
  • The Clinton County tax has increased to 2.45% (from 2.25%) for residents and nonresidents, effective 1 October 2019.
  • The Dubois County tax has increased to 1.2% (from 1.0%) for residents and nonresidents, effective 1 October 2019.
  • The Fayette County tax has increased to 2.57% (from 2.37%) for residents and nonresidents, effective 1 October 2019.
  • The Greene County tax has increased to 1.95% (from 1.75%) for residents and nonresidents, effective 1 October 2019.
  • The Hancock County tax has increased to 1.94% (from 1.74%) for residents and nonresidents, effective 1 October 2019.
  • The Hendricks County tax has increased to 1.7% (from 1.5%) for residents and nonresidents, effective 1 October 2019.
  • The Johnson County tax has increased to 1.2% (from 1.0%) for residents and nonresidents, effective 1 October 2019.
  • The Ohio County tax has increased to 1.5% (from 1.25%) for residents and nonresidents, effective 1 October 2019.
  • The Owen County tax has increased to 1.4% (from 1.3%) for residents and nonresidents, effective 1 October 2019.
  • The Putnam County tax has increased to 2.1% (from 2.0%) for residents and nonresidents, effective 1 October 2019.
  • The Sullivan County tax has increased to 1.7% (from 0.6%) for residents and nonresidents, effective 1 October 2019.
  • The Whitley County tax has increased to 1.6829% (from 1.4829%) for residents and nonresidents, effective 1 October 2019.

Ohio

  • Emerald Park Revenue Sharing tax increased to 2.5% (from 2%) for residents and nonresidents, effective 1 January 2017.
  • The Jackson-Canton CD JEDD (CD stands for ComDoc, the name of the company that occupies the JEDD) was added with a rate of 2.5% for residents and nonresidents, effective 12 March 2019.
  • The Jackson Canton FP JEDD tax has increased to 2.5 (from 2.0%) for residents and nonresidents, effective 1 July 2018. This JEDD follows the same income tax rate as the City of Canton, Ohio. Canton’s rate increased to 2.5%, effective 1 July 2018.
  • The Jackson Canton SM JEDD tax has increased to 2.5 (from 2.0%) for residents and nonresidents, effective 1 July 2018. This JEDD follows the same income tax rate as the City of Canton, Ohio. Canton’s rate increased to 2.5%, effective 1 July 2018.
  • The Jackson Canton TWR JEDD tax has increased to 2.5 (from 2.0%) for residents and nonresidents, effective 1 July 2018. This JEDD is also known as the Stark State JEDD. This JEDD follows the same income tax rate as the City of Canton, Ohio. Canton’s rate increased to 2.5%, effective 1 July 2018.
  • This tax was incorrectly updated in the STE 2019-R9a release. It has been reverted to its previous rates pending further research. The tax has returned to a rate of 1.5%, with a tax credit and credit limit of 0%, effective 19 August 2008.
